Graduate in Biological Sciences from the UGR in 1993. PhD from the UGR in 2004.

From 1991 to 2003 I belonged to the 'Animal Behavior and Ecology' research group of the Department of Animal Biology at the UGR. From 2004 to 2010 I belonged to the 'Animal Coevolution' research group of the Department of Evolutionary and Functional Ecology of the Experimental Station of Arid Zones (CSIC) and, from 2010 to the present, I belong to the 'Animal Behavior and Ecology' research group at the UGR.

I have published 70 works, of which 55 are articles in SCI journals. I have a total of 40 communications to Congresses, 37 of which are in International Congresses. I obtained 9 Research Grants during my predoctoral stage. After that, in my Postdoctoral stage, I have benefited from various CSIC contracts, highlighting a contract for the incorporation of doctors into the Spanish Science and Technology system (I3P-doctores). Later I joined the UGR, where I have enjoyed three research contracts. I have participated in 15 research projects and act as a reviewer for different scientific journals. In 2018, my stage as Interim Substitute Professor began first and, later, as Assistant Professor Doctor, a position that I currently occupy.
