VISIT EDUCATIONAL CENTERS: "IES Fray Luis de Granada and Urban Biodiversity"

We visited the IES Fray Luis de Granada to talk about Urban Biodiversity with the 4th year ESO students. After a gamification activity to learn about invasive, foreign and native species, using a "Kahoot!", we held an introductory talk on the topic of urban biodiversity. Next, we divided the students into two groups. On the one hand, we carried out a sampling of arthropods, we showed them several specimens from our department's collections and we showed them an insect hotel made by our team. On the other hand, we carried out a simulation of a bird census, using applications such as "Avefy" and "Bird Net" to try to identify the birds that we could observe in the vicinity of the center.
